Hello, Today I woke up and went to circle with the older girls. For those of you who don't know circle is in the morning before breakfast when we sing and have a short devotion. All of the different group split up in their yards. After circle I went to see if I could find my boxes, but no such luck. It's ok... I was also able to go and work with one of the girls on my Spanish and her English. I also went to school today and had a fun two classes. I got back home and went outside and there were some cows out by our house. They were not our cows, but they were enjoying the grass outside our house. Tomorrow I have tennis once again. I am looking forward to working with the girls. Thanks again for the support. God Bless, Lindsey

Lindsey I just read all of your entry's and Its so cool to be able to see what you do on a daily basis- keep them commin! I miss and love you lots!
Hey hun... your mama told me about your boxes yesterday. I can imagaine the discouragement when your so far away without some of the the things you need. But on the onther hand, helping others is a sure fire way to take your mind off your own troubles. Take me for example, loneliness has been like a second skin to me. I don’t know about you, but that is a feeling I can relate to very well. It’s like a gaping hole just waiting to swallow me given half a chance. But that’s it, I refuse to give it a chance! Nevertheless, nothing beats talking to God. There are times when I try everything and nothing seems to fill the empty space and that’s when I do some God conversing. Sometimes reading helps, too. Or I listen to music…and I don’t mean sappy stuff-that only intensifies the loneliness. I listen to something which fits my mood but is also uplifting- like allot of Christian music. Also, I write at times. I’ve been journaling since I was younger. Because I discovered that once I could capture the emotion I was feeling in words, I could handle it. Regardless, one thing I have learned over and over again without fail through it all is God is interested in my circumstances, but He is far, far more interested in my response to my circumstances. If you get a chance read the story about Joseph in Genesis again. For me, its so encouraging to think back on sometimes because Joseph could have been wallowing in self-pity. He had a lot to wallow about. He could have used his situation as an excuse to not follow God's leading; I bet he could of said “I can’t help you know, can’t you see I’m in prison? Sheesh!” But instead, Joseph looked to serve others. Also, I’m going to go out on a limb and suggest that being the best darn prisoner in all of Egypt is not what Joseph expected when he decided to follow God’s will. But when all hope is lost, when we’re in a well or we’re in some prison and we don’t know how we’re going to get out, we can learn the first way we can respond to serious setbacks in our life...We can trust God!
Linds- sometimes when things look bleak to me, this is the only thing that can sustain me. Remembering that the Lord is with me, even when we can’t see him.
"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you."
-Deuteronomy 31:6
Going back to my soap box, we know Joseph’s future. Joseph only has his knowledge of what the Lord has told him in a dream. If Joseph knew what we knew, having faith in prison for a crime he didn’t commit would be easy. Joseph didn’t have such knowledge, but he did have faith that God is true. And that’s the same thing we have. We have God’s word that He is with us, no matter what. Linds- my favorite verse Romans 8:28 says -And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
For me, it reminds me that God will act when He knows the time is right. In the meantime, we can continue to grow in Him by serving and studying and being obedient and praying. As for your circumstances I am so excited for you for all that the Lord is going to teach you and for all your going to experince during this time. Just remember God has a plan and He will sustain you! Just continue to keep your trust and faith in Him!
Whoa~I so didn't mean to write a book to you but I pray it brings you some enouragement. I reminded Jeremy about reading your blog, too, yesterday and am going to send him the link again in a minute. Just remember in the meanitime that we love you and miss you so much.
Grace & peace,
Jennifer
