Day 49
This morning I woke up around 5 AM to the sound of gunshots. I was truly concerned that someone was in the complex. I later found out that this month is some type of holiday and I will be hearing a lot more gunshots. This week at school we are having exams in all of the classes. I had to come up with all the test, and give them to all of my classes. Majority of all the kids have a very low self-esteem and don't believe that they can do anything that may be difficult to them. I am trying to help them with their confidence. We are still constantly in the clinic 24/7. Since we only have 4 volunteers here right now we spend lots of time there. This week at tennis we played with real tennis balls for the first time. I hope that the boys and girls will begin to pick it up a little better now. My mom sent me a Hannah Montana video and all of the girls went crazy over it. She is very popular here, as well as High School Musical 1 and 2. I have both of these movies memorized. Last night we had the Lord's Supper in church. It was a good fun experience. My Spanish is improving pretty well. I am learning new words everyday. It has been raining majority of the day today, which is really great because it cools everything down. Thanks for the Prayers and support. God Bless, Lindsey

FABULOUS! as Sharpay would say! You continue to sound more and more comfortable in your environment. I think it is soo funny they are crazy over HSM and Hanna Montana. Conner is postponeing her 7th birthday party 3 weeks until the opening night of HSM3, so we can take her and her friends opening night. What am I getting myself into?
It is great to see God working in your life as well as other lives. You are a wonderful servent of God.
Nana told me she spoke with you today. She was very excited. I'm glad you can wash your hair with shampoo now....chef boy-r-dee is your favorite these days I heard.
When my 6th and 8th graders act out, I remember the situation you are in and it make me very thankful for the students I teach. We'll have to compare notes when you get home. Continue to be very careful, especially with all the celebrating gunfire!
We love you and are praying for you! Tracey, Chris, Conner, Ian and Max
(Niece) Lindsey, just wanted to let you know we have been thinking about you. You are very courageous! Hang in there!

I get to see your brother soon. So excited! I wish you were going to be there, too, though! By the way, I have an interview in Augusta on Wednesday-I figured I could at least check out the opportunity. It would be nice to have a real job again. Either way, my visit to GA will not be the same without you...I'll be sure to take pictures however of JCB especially and put them on facebook or something so you can see them. We gotta get your mom to e-mail us both pics from their trip, too. Anyway, your such a blessing Miss Linds to me and those kids your loving on for sure! Keep the faith ma'am and let the Lord be your strength- January will be here before you know it. Enjoy every minute and thinking about you until then. Love you still-jb
